A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Mueen Al-Kazemi, revealed that the salaries of employees in the 2023 budget have increased to 62 trillion dinars, indicating that the budget will include the implementation of the pledges of the government of Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani to raise the standard of living for Iraqis.
Al-Kazemi said in a press interview, "The government program calls for providing services to the vulnerable and poor classes, supporting social welfare, and strengthening the ration card items."
He added, “There are 4 million employees who need 62 trillion annually to pay salaries, and this is a large amount that will lead to a deficit in the budget” by 2023.
He pointed out that “the priorities of the Sudanese government are providing services, health care and taking care of employees by adjusting the salary scale.
