    On Sunday, the Iraqi Ministry of Interior and its Saudi counterpart signed a memorandum of understanding, the first of its kind since 1983, to enhance security cooperation between the two countries.[/size]
    [size=45]And the ministry stated, in a statement, that “the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, signed the memorandum of understanding with his Saudi counterpart, Abdulaziz bin Saud.”[/size]
    [size=45]According to the statement, the Saudi minister welcomed Al-Shammari and his accompanying delegation and conveyed to them the greetings and peace of the Saudi King and the Crown Prince, while the Iraqi minister conveyed the greetings and peace of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani.[/size]
    [size=45]The signing of the memorandum was attended on the Saudi side by Deputy Minister of Interior Nasser Abdulaziz Al-Daoud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Hisham Abdul Rahman Al-Faleh, Undersecretary for Security Affairs Muhammad Muhanna Al-Muhanna, Director of Public Security Lieutenant General Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Bassamy, and the Saudi Ambassador to Iraq Abdul Aziz bin Khalid Al-Shammari. The Director General of Drug Control, Major General Muhammad bin Saeed Al-Qarni, the Director of the Minister’s Office for Studies and Research, Major General Khaled bin Ibrahim, and the Director of General Administration and International Cooperation Ahmed bin Suleiman.[/size]
    [size=45]The memorandum signed between the Iraqi and Saudi sides included all forms of security cooperation, exchange of visions, and activation of joint security work to ensure more security for the two countries, according to the statement.[/size]
