    The Director General of the Private Sector Development Department at the Ministry of Commerce, Muhammad Hanoun, inaugurated the Handicrafts Exhibition on the green squares in the Al-Qishla region, with the participation of dozens of young men and women who are good at handicrafts of all kinds.
    Hanoun said in a statement, "The aim of this exhibition, which represents a large demonstration, is to develop talents as well as to attract and contain professionals and craftsmen in order to find means of material and moral support for them and to prepare for the establishment of a large national exhibition on the arenas of the Baghdad International Fair and to make the most of the mechanisms of the government program to support owners." small and medium enterprises”.
    He added, Director General of the Department, that "the exhibition, which was held in cooperation with some specialized associations, included distinguished productions of women and men representing all the provinces of Iraq."
    And he indicated, “The coming period, we are working to develop and develop this type of national and creative industries that represent the national product by providing possible facilities from government support in the form of advances or loans for this type of handcraft activity, because of its impact in supporting many Iraqi families who are totally dependent on “This type of creative work also represents interest in the Iraqi heritage and giving a distinct image of the national product in the field of industries or handicrafts.”
    Hanoun pointed out, “The great support that the Prime Minister gives to business owners and handicrafts, as we seek in the Ministry of Commerce to include them in government decisions to provide material support and the amounts allocated in the next budget for medium and small projects, in addition to the attention that the Minister of Commerce gives to the private sector department.” And for the owners of professions and crafts, in order to give them a major role in the operations of industry and handicrafts that enjoy great popular and public interest.
    Pointing out that his department distributed a manual form to all participants in the exhibition in order to enter special data for each participant in order to promote his goods through the international trade point, which will be a mediator between the owners of these projects and other sectors to contribute to the buying and selling operations as well as to support those Projects and deliver them to everyone through various promotional methods.
    On the sidelines of the activities of the exhibition and the Heritage Day, the Director General of the Private Sector Department inaugurated an exhibition of photographs, which included many pictures that represent the civilization of Iraq and the creations of its people in various fields of life. A special bazaar was opened for the creations of a large number of creators in the field of daily industries, learning to write on clay, and a school for learning calligraphy. Arabi .
