    Today, Sunday, the Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Jabr Al-Alawi, announced the allocation of "four trillion dinars" in the 2023 budget for the agricultural sector, calling on Parliament not to reduce it.
    Al-Olaywi said in an exclusive interview with (Baghdad Today), that "there is communication with the Parliamentary Agriculture Committee for the purpose of maintaining the allocations in the federal budget amounting to (four trillion dinars) to support the agricultural sector," calling on "Parliament not to reduce the allocations after their arrival from the prime minister, To proceed with a major revitalization plan for the agricultural sector in Iraq.
    Al-Olayawi added, "The agricultural sector was affected" somewhat "by the rise in the exchange rates of the dollar, especially livestock due to its dependence on the import of fodder and nutrition relatively," noting that "and due to the impact of the local product, we took a decision to prevent imports, to protect livestock and the agricultural sector in general from the effects of the rise." dollar exchange rates.
    He pointed out that "the Ministry of Commerce's purchase of some products and the cooperation of some merchants with the ministry" contributed to "the stability of the sale of eggs, chicken and other products," which he did not name, pointing out that "the ministry officially authorized the transfer of products (eggs and chicken) from the Kurdistan region to the rest of the provinces to enhance local product",
