Educators praised the decision of the Ministry of Education to work again with the general exemption system for the secondary stage, stressing that its implementation will create high competition among students with the aim of achieving the best results leading to the general exemption, calling for the inclusion of the primary stages that do not end with the decision.
The educational supervisor, Haider Al-Sakani, in the First Rusafa Education Directorate, said in a statement to "Al-Sabah": The re-implementation of the general exemption decision is a factor that pushes students to excel throughout the year until they obtain the general exemption, and thus creates a scientific competition from which the educational process will be the first beneficiary. In the same context, he called for the inclusion of the unfinished primary stage, with the decision, as it gives an incentive to students to strive.

For his part, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Education, Karim Al-Sayed, stated in a statement to “Al-Sabah” that the general exemption system for secondary education has been reintroduced, starting from the current academic year (2022-2023), explaining that the student is exempted from all subjects and does not take the final exams in them, provided that they are less He has a score of 75 in the annual pursuit, and his average in all subjects is not less than 85 percent, and thus he deserves the general exemption.
