Today, Saturday, the International Federation for Medical Education revealed that the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges in Iraq has been included in the international list eligible for international accreditation.[/size]
[size=45]And the official website of the federation, followed by (Baghdad Today), showed that “Iraq is among the list of countries whose councils and competent bodies have achieved the requirements necessary to obtain international accreditation and are now eligible to be present in the world map for councils that are making their way towards international accreditation from (WFME).”[/size]
[size=45]The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, blessed the National Council for Accreditation of Iraqi Medical Colleges and Universities, “this important indicator and the achieved results,” reiterating “its support for the medical education environment in Iraq and enabling its institutions to achieve their goals and the quality of their academic programs and perform their tasks and responsibilities in responding to development goals and meeting Society's aspirations in the field of specialized educational services.[/size]
[size=45]The National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges in Iraq had announced, earlier in 2021, the completion of 85% of the international accreditation requirements for medical colleges.[/size]
[size=45]The Department of Relations and Information at the Ministry of Higher Education stated, in a statement, that the members of the National Council expressed their confidence in the medical colleges in Iraq and their outputs in light of the global determinants approved by the International Federation for Medical Education (WFME).[/size]
[size=45]The members of the council confirmed, according to the statement, that the medical colleges in Iraq have completed the self-evaluation study that tops the requirements of accreditation and that they have made strides towards correct medical education.[/size]
[size=45]They explained that accreditation represents the fruit of scientific cooperation with the specialized colleges, and that the Council is working on arranging and taking into account the priorities of coordination with the International Federation for Medical Education to supplement and support the national accreditation process in Iraq and to benefit from global experiences to ensure qualified outputs to provide medical services[/size]
