    Today, Sunday, the Basra local government announced the completion of the new structural plan project for the Al-Faw Peninsula.
    The First Deputy Governor of Basra, Muhammad Taher Al-Tamimi, said in a statement, “The development of the new structural plan project for the Al-Faw Peninsula has been completed after dismantling the areas of connection between development projects by the General Company for Ports, and development projects for Basra Governorate, after reviewing studies, plans and documents submitted by the office.” The Italian consultant by the governorate consultant for the project of modernizing and expanding the basic plan for the city of Al-Faw by the Building Systems Company.
    He added, "The consultative meeting with the concerned government departments during which the overlap between modernizing and expanding the basic design of Al-Faw District and the Master Plan for the Al-Faw Peninsula, south of Basra, was discussed."
    Al-Tamimi continued, “The meeting took place in the presence of the Director General of the Iraq Ports Company, Dr. Farhan Al-Fartousi, the Director of Urban Planning, Nusrat Laibi Salem, the Director of the Al-Faw District Municipality, Ahmed Saadoun Mubarak, the Project Manager of the Building Systems Company, Safaa Jassem, and the officials of the five sidewalks contract project, and the Authority.” Al-Faw Grand Port, the supervising committees, the Resident Engineer’s Department, and the Projects Department at the Governorate’s Office, during which the overlap between the project of modernizing and expanding the basic design of Al-Faw District and the Master Plan for the Al-Faw Peninsula was discussed.
