The Martyrs Foundation, in agreement with the Ministries of Agriculture, Construction and Housing, and the public municipalities, began facilitating and preparing the procedures for allocating lands for the construction of residential complexes.
The head of the foundation, Abd al-Ilah al-Naeli, told Al-Sabah: He recently met with the Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Jabr al-Alaywi, to set up cooperation mechanisms regarding the issue of land and housing for the beneficiaries of the martyrs.
He pointed out that the Foundation called on the Ministry of Agriculture to facilitate the procedures for allocating plots of land that are not suitable for cultivation to build housing complexes for the families of the martyrs.
Al-Naeli confirmed that the Minister of Agriculture expressed full cooperation with the Foundation's efforts to implement the legal paragraphs that obligated the beneficiaries to obtain the necessary housing, provide all facilities, and work to implement the articles stipulated in the Foundation's law and were supported in the Cabinet meetings.
He added that there are similar procedures with the Ministry of Construction and governorate municipalities to prepare plots of land for this purpose.
He continued that the prime minister had instructed the formation of a committee to coordinate between the governorates, the ministries of agriculture and construction, housing and public municipalities, as well as the martyrs and prisoners institutions, to lay the foundations for building housing complexes for those covered by the foundation law.
