Martyrs: Activating the appointments of martyrs’ families in government institutions

The Martyrs Foundation agreed with the Popular Mobilization Authority to activate the appointments of the families of the martyrs and wounded of the Mobilization Forces in departments and institutions, as well as to return the injured to work whose contracts were terminated.
The head of the Popular Mobilization Department in the Foundation, Tariq Al-Mandalawi, told Al-Sabah that the Foundation held a meeting with the Popular Mobilization Authority to discuss the rights of the families of the martyrs and injured covered by its law, who number 10,000 martyrs and 28,000 injured in various proportions, indicating that the meeting resulted in an agreement to activate the appointment of the families of the martyrs. From the first and second classes, according to the 5 percent allocated to them, and working to ensure the commitment of ministries and institutions to this, in addition to reappointing injured people whose contracts were terminated in the departments, in addition to finding a joint formula between the institution and the authority to organize the claim process and distribute rights and privileges, by preparing a comprehensive database. It is relied upon in coordination with relevant departments.
In the same context, Al-Mandalawi explained that the Foundation demanded that applicants for Hajj from this category during the current year who were not accepted be given priority according to the date of martyrdom and the number of martyrs in the family, in addition to being included in the residential units and complexes that are currently being built.
