[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / - The list of the Unified Iraq Turkmen Front called for the inclusion of Article (35) related to the Kirkuk governorate in the election law.
The list stated in a statement that: "Since 2008, the components of Kirkuk have agreed on the need to audit the voter registry, due to the additions that have occurred to the voter registry from non-provincial residents, and this is proven by the reports of the United Nations Mission in Iraq.These demands were repeated to check the voter registry and to sign all components of the governorate in the years 2008.” 2018 and 2019.
And she indicated that "the Federal Court's decision (11 in 2010) has proved beyond any doubt that reliance on the ration card, as a basis for the voter registry lacks accuracy," and called for finding other bases for organizing the voter registry.
And she added: "The letters received from the Ministry of Commerce to the Kirkuk Governorate recently confirmed what was stated in the Federal Court's decision, as the Ministry of Commerce indicated that there are more than (300) thousand voters in the Kirkuk Governorate who are not from the province.”
And she stressed, "Failure to check the voter register means that the elected provincial council does not represent the people of Kirkuk province and will not succeed in serving the people of the province."/ End8 To receive more news, subscribe to our Telegram[/rtl]
