First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, and Head of the Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, stressed the need to expedite the legislation of the budget law.
Al-Mandalawi's office said in a statement that the latter received al-Hakim in his office "to discuss the importance of approving important legislation and the latest developments in the political scene."
The two sides emphasized "the need to activate the oversight aspect of the House of Representatives in a way that contributes to evaluating government performance, and the importance of maintaining coordination between the legislative and executive authorities to expedite the enactment of laws that affect the citizen's need, especially the budget law, and to improve the living, services and security reality in Iraq."
Also during the meeting, according to the statement, "the importance of everyone's cooperation to support government efforts aimed at overcoming challenges, fighting corruption and advancing the country's various vital and priority sectors was emphasized." Ended 29/N33
