Today, Friday, the Ministry of Commerce announced its intention to set a specific price bulletin to prevent the exploitation of some traders and speculators.
"There are joint committees between the commercial and financial oversight department in the ministry and the National Security Agency and organized crime, which monitor traders, monopolists and price speculators," said Haider Nouri Jabr, director general of the General Company for Grain Trade in the ministry.
Jabr revealed, "The ministry's intention, in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, to set a specific price bulletin in the future to avoid any exploitation by some merchants."
And the Minister of Commerce, Atheer Dawood Al-Ghurairy, announced earlier that no increase in food prices in the markets during the holy month of Ramadan was recorded.
