The Ministry of Commerce announced, on Monday, the launch of 12 plans, including the sale of cars in installments and the opening of 15 marketing outlets.
A statement from the ministry stated, “Minister of Commerce Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairy discussed, during an evening session with the advanced staff in the ministry, plans and programs prepared for the next six months, total revenues and expenditures, procedures for automating the ration card, providing and rehabilitating building facades and their approaches, decorating buildings with solar-powered night lighting, and other files that were reviewed.” during the session."
Al-Ghurairy emphasized, "The need to develop systematic and future plans and goals that are in line with government directives and current requirements for the transition towards a market economy and encouraging the private sector to create competition."
He added, "The Minister of Commerce directed public administrations to schedule those plans and programs and seek to conclude partnerships and encourage investment to achieve the desired economic feasibility and increase revenues," stressing that "companies that indicate that they have increased spending on the achieved revenues to take practical measures in this regard."
According to the statement, during the meeting, "views were exchanged on the topics that were raised and inquiries were answered and Al-Ghurairi's directives in the light of them.
The most important plans put forward by companies and departments:
1- Launching the sale of cars in installments, installing solar energy systems in installments within the initiative of the Central Bank, preparing the examination number." Traffic timer for cars entering Iraq
2- Optimum preparation for the 47th session of the Baghdad International Fair, the establishment of a modern and developed exhibition city on the outskirts of Baghdad.
3- The opening of the central markets, the tire complex project in the Mashn complex, the Zubair central market, and the Diyala fair during the next month.
4- Opening 15 marketing outlets for the sale of foodstuffs, the area of which exceeds the current outlets, and during the next two months, and working on the establishment of three marketing complexes in a modern and developed style.
5- Developing and rehabilitating government mills, proceeding with the commercial flour project and the subsidized loaf subsidy project.
6- The success of the marketing season 2023, activating the railway lines in Shirqat and Mosul, the optimal use of the Umm Qasr silo, following up the construction of Diwaniyah and Amarah silos.
7- Electronic archiving, electronic drawing, electronic inquiries, and expediting the procedures of the electronic platform of the company's registration department with the National Data Center.
8- The Private Sector Department held dialogue sessions with owners of small projects between the Central Bank and government and private banks, held a meeting with international organizations supporting small and medium enterprises, and established a research center.
9- Weekly, monthly and quarterly plans and programs for the Commercial Control Department to audit the work of departments and companies and correct errors.
10- Automating the work of the administrative and financial department and codifying the obtainment of postgraduate certificates for the ministry's employees, according to their specialization needs.
11- Electronic transformation in the legal department and e-mail work as a preliminary experience in the legal transaction.
12- The procedures of the Planning and Follow-up Department to complete the ration card project, update its database at the level of the country’s governorates, and conduct statistical analysis of import and processing operations. End 29/N33
