The head of the New Generation Movement, Shaswar Abd al-Wahed, called on the citizens of the Kurdistan region not to pay electricity, taboo and water taxes in the region.
Abdel Wahed appeared in a video clip on social media, "demanding the citizens of the region not to commit to paying bills to the regional government."
He said, "The situation in the region is temporary, and this government is to (disappear), as he described it.
Abdel Wahed pointed out that "citizens should not be obligated to pay taxes to a government that does not provide any services and is illegitimate." as he put it.
