    Baghdad today - Baghdad
    The Ministry of Oil announced today, Thursday, that it will resume exporting the oil of the Kurdistan region and Kirkuk through pipelines towards the Turkish port of Ceyhan, starting next Saturday.
    The ministry said, in a statement received by "Baghdad Today", that "the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company" SOMO "informed the Turkish company BOTAS to resume export and loading operations, starting next Saturday."
    Oil Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani indicated, "The conclusion of contracts with international companies for the sale and marketing of crude oil from the Turkish port of Ceyhan has been completed, according to the mechanisms adopted by the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company, SOMO."
    Earlier, the Ministry of Oil confirmed the conclusion of SOMO Company, the first contract with an international company that purchases oil in the Kurdistan region, pending the resumption of exports soon.
