Today, Wednesday, May 17, 2023, the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received at the Baghdad Palace the delegation of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, headed by Blissah Jabbar Farman.
During the meeting, the overall situation in the Kurdistan Region was discussed, where the President of the Republic indicated the importance of adopting the principle of constructive dialogue and strengthening relations between the central government and the regional government in a way that contributes to the stability of the economic and security conditions for citizens throughout Iraq.
The President of the Republic listened to an explanation given by the delegation about his visit to the former prison (Naqrat Al-Salman) and the suffering of the Iraqi people from repressive policies, where the martyrs of the Anfal crime were remembered, and the emphasis on caring for their families and providing for the needs of their children, and the need for the return of the remains of the martyrs to their families.
For her part, Blissah Farman expressed her thanks and appreciation for the President's directives and his keenness and concern for all the people, stressing the need for coordination and cooperation between organizations concerned with women's affairs.
