    Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Foreign Minister, Fouad Hussein, called, on Thursday, the international community to deal seriously with the Al-Hol camp file in Syria and limit its risks at the regional and global levels, stressing that the Kurdistan Region has received nearly 250,000 Syrian refugees.
    In a speech during a conference held in Brussels to support the future of Syria and the region, he said that Syria's problems can only be solved through the political option, in order to reduce its negative effects on the Syrian people and the region.



    He added that there is no doubt that Syria is going through a bad situation as a result of the material and human damage it suffered as a result of the earthquake that struck areas there last February, and the aftershocks that followed, as many citizens were in dire need of humanitarian assistance such as shelter, food, water and medicine. And exacerbated the situation there and made it worse, stressing that Iraq has always taken measures to reduce the pressures on Syria to end the sanctions imposed on it, and mitigate the repercussions of the disasters it was exposed to by delivering urgent aid to the thousands of afflicted Syrians who are still suffering from damages. earthquake.
    Hussein pointed out that Iraq has always been calling on the international community to deal seriously with the dangers of the Al-Hol camp in Al-Hasakah Governorate, which includes thousands of people of different nationalities, most of whom are women and children with members of the terrorist organization ISIS, stressing that Iraq has asked the concerned countries to bear Responsibility to return its citizens from that camp to their countries, and to provide facilities for the return of those refugees to their communities in accordance with the laws of those countries.
    He stressed the need to find a final solution to this camp, and reduce its dangers at the level of the region and the world as a whole.
    The Iraqi Foreign Minister praised Syria's return to the Arab League and the restoration of its permanent seat in it, adding that Iraq was always among the first countries to call for Syria's return to the Arab League, and stressed that this return is part of the political solution to the situation in Syria, and a step towards a permanent solution to the problems of this issue. Country.
    Hussein called for the voluntary return of the displaced and refugees from Syria, and said that when the situation in Syria deteriorated, Iraq opened its doors to those who fled from it, stressing that the Kurdistan Region received 250,000 Syrian refugees and treated them as Iraqi citizens were treated, and allowed them to work in the markets and provided shelter for 35 percent. of the Syrian refugees in the camps, and providing them with the basic requirements of life.
