Foreign Minister: We hope the international community to vote to lift the ban on Iraqi stadiums

Foreign Ministry expressed, Wednesday, he expressed the hope that the international community would vote in favor of Iraq in "Viva" meeting for the lifting of the ban on Iraqi stadiums.
"Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari directs all the ministry's departments in the center and the diplomatic and consular missions abroad to exert all efforts to mobilize the necessary support for the total urbanization of Iraqi stadiums during the March 16 meeting in Colombia," a statement issued by Al-Wazera said. "We hope that the international community will stand with Iraq as it stood with us in defeating the gangs and urging the terrorists to vote alongside the lifting of urban areas from Iraq to support peace, stability and development in Iraq," the statement said.
The final decision is due to be made at a meeting in Colombia on March 16.
