, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller confirmed his country's continued support for the Yazidi community and the rest of the components in Iraq, pointing to the need to appoint a district commissioner for the Sinjar district.
"America is fully committed to supporting the Yazidi community and the rest of the components that were destroyed by ISIS in Iraq," Miller said during a press conference held in Washington.
The US State Department spokesman pointed out, "The need to appoint a District Commissioner for the Sinjar district as soon as possible."
Miller believed that "the signing of the agreement was" an important and constructive step, and that the long-term political stalemate and non-implementation of the agreement is unacceptable," stressing that "the implementation of the agreement will be of great importance in preserving Iraq's sovereignty and the unity of its entire territory."
