    Shafaq News/ The Minister of Interior, Abd al-Amir al-Shammari announced, on Sunday, the identification of four international land border crossings that operate around the clock to receive foreign visitors who go to the country to commemorate the Arbaeen visit of Imam Hussein in the city of Karbala, expecting that nearly 5 million of those visitors will enter Iraq.
    The Supreme Security Committee to secure the Arbaeen visit, headed by the Minister of Interior, the Commander of the Ground Forces, the Undersecretary of the National Security Apparatus, the police and intelligence agents in the Ministry of Interior and the assistant of the Popular Mobilization Operations arrived this morning in Dhi Qar Governorate, to see the details of the security plans in five provinces, which are Basra, Dhi Qar, Maysan and Muthanna. Wasit, in the presence of the operations commanders (Basra, Maysan, and Sumer), the police chiefs of the same governorates, and the directors of the security services there.



    The minister said in a joint press conference he held with the security leaders in Dhi Qar Governorate, that his visit included a presentation of special security plans to secure the Arbaeen visit of Imam Hussein in the governorates (Basra, Wasit, Maysan, Dhi Qar, and Al-Muthanna), and we listened to a detailed briefing by the leaders. Security officials for their plans and procedures within this field, in addition to coordinating with the plans prepared by local governments.
    He explained that these five governorates are the student point towards Karbala, as well as the presence of international land border crossings, which are (Safwan, Al-Shalamja, Al-Sheeb, Zurbatiya), indicating that these crossings will be operational at the clock schools for the entry of foreign visitors from the Arab Gulf states and Iran. .
    The minister also added, "It is estimated that the number of visitors who will enter through these outlets will range between 3-5 million people," alluding to the discussion of security and service plans that will be provided to those visitors.
    Regarding the Arbaeen visit plan, the minister said: The prepared security plan will enter into force from August 19, corresponding to the first of the month of Safar according to the Hijri calendar, and will end on the 20th of Safar, when the ceremony of reviving the visit, corresponding to September 9, ends. .
    On August 8, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani, stressed the success of the service and security plans prepared to secure the revival of the Arbaeen visitation ceremony of Imam Hussein in the city of Karbala.
    This came during his chairmanship of a meeting that included the chairman and members of the Permanent Supreme Committee for the Million Visits, and the Supreme Security Committee for the Arbaeen visit this year.
    Shia Muslims commemorate the Arbaeen visit, forty days after Ashura, the anniversary of the killing of Imam Hussein along with his family and companions in a kinder incident at the hands of the Umayyad Caliph Yazid bin Muawiyah’s army in the year 61 AH, corresponding to 680 AD.
