    Hence, "Baghdad Today" interviewed the director of the Karbala refinery, Muhammad Fazaa Abd, on a tour of the refinery, to confirm Abd that the production capacities in the refinery had reached more than 60%, and while he denied that the refinery had stopped, as is rumored, he confirmed that work is underway within a short period to fully operate the refinery. his energy.
    Abdul told "Baghdad Today" that "whoever wants to see the refinery, its work, and its energies, he must visit him to ensure the continuous loading of all the refinery's products, some of which are transported through pipes and others through containers, such as black oil."

    The director of the Karbala refinery added, "Most of the refinery's units are currently operating, and the rest of the FCC and poly naphtha will be gradually entered because the refinery is smart and needs accuracy in gradual operation."
    And he said, "Yesterday, more than 400 tanks of black oil were loaded," noting that "the refinery will be fully operational at the end of next September."
    Abd confirmed, "Directions from the Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul-Ghani Al-Sawad, to complete the operation of the project for the purpose of completing the descent of products to the local markets, which contributes to a significant increase in the country's budget through the various products of the refinery."
    Regarding the electricity used by the refinery, he said that there is a station with 200 megawatts installed inside the refinery by the Ministry of Oil. It is used to operate the refinery, meaning that no electricity is taken from the national grid.
    Parliamentary statements and information had indicated, during the past months and weeks, that the refinery had been subjected to sabotage, as well as deliberate negligence that led to the refinery stopping, while the responsible authorities and the Middle Refineries Company denied this matter, and in late June, the Middle Refineries Company said that the coming days will witness an increase in the operational capacity and productivity of the refinery Karbala to 100%.
    It is hoped that the Karbala refinery will produce about 9 million liters of gasoline per day, which will reduce the country's import of gasoline by 60%, saving more than $3 billion for the state treasury.
