Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Ministry of Finance decided to return the director of the government-run Al-Rafidain Bank, Ali Karim Hussein, to his post, about 40 days after a previous decision to withdraw his hand.
Shafaq News Agency obtained an official letter issued by the Human Resources Department at Al-Rafidain Bank, showing an administrative order to reinstate the director of Al-Rafidain Bank to carry out his work.
The document stated that based on Ministerial Order No. 3719 issued by the Ministry of Finance / Administrative and Financial Department No. 30262 on 8/21/2023 and further to our administrative order No. 14/1/2582 on 7/11/2023 which includes the withdrawal of the hand of (Ali Karim Hussein), Director In general, our bank decided to release its hand (cancelling the previous decision) as of the date of issuance of the above administrative order.
And the Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, decided, on the ninth of last July, to withdraw the hand of the director of the Rafidain Bank and more than 20 officials, male and female, and employees.
According to an informed source, he was told that the withdrawal of the hand was made after several accusations of a number of cases, including causing waste of public money and mismanagement, in addition to accusations leveled against other employees in the two cases of selling dollars and gold bars.
