    Information/Exclusive.
Today, Monday, a member of the House of Representatives, Thaer al-Jubouri, accused the Kurds of creating a crisis in the financial entitlements of the Kurdistan region in the financial budget law, while he considered the file “not controversial.”
Al-Jubouri said, in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, that “the Kurdistan region’s allocations file in the financial budget law was accompanied by a lot of controversy between the Kurds and Arabs within the House of Representatives.”
He added, "The discussion about this file is clear, given that the Kurdistan region is required to implement some conditions and therefore will receive the financial revenues allocated to it," indicating that "there is a product sold in the markets, which must be central and its revenues distributed to all governorates and the region."
The member of the House of Representatives explained, “When the federal government demands its rights from Kurdistan, the region must fulfill its promises and pay what it owes in order to obtain the obligations owed to Baghdad.”
Al-Jubouri stated, “The issue of financial entitlements to the Kurdistan region is not controversial, but the Kurds are the ones who created this crisis and created it to no avail.”
Earlier, Member of Parliament Zahra Al-Bajari attributed the delay in sending salaries to the region to the Kurdistan government’s lack of commitment to sending oil export funds to the central government, adding that the Ministry of Finance confirmed that the region has not delivered oil export funds yet.
It is noteworthy that the outbreak of the crisis of disruption of the salaries of the region’s employees at this particular time is due to an attempt to exploit it as electoral propaganda against the central government, amid many suspicions surrounding the fate of the funds seized by the region during the previous period, according to observers.
