The head of the National Investment Authority, Haider Muhammad Makiya, announced the approval of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to include Diwaniyah Governorate in the Real Estate Bank initiative.
Makiya confirmed, in a statement today, that “Al-Sudani agreed to include Diwaniyah Governorate in the Real Estate Bank’s initiative for housing, since the governorate suffers from exceptional economic conditions, and the inability of the citizen to buy housing units without the initiative.”
The Central Bank of Iraq has allocated 6 trillion since 2015 to launch two housing loan initiatives. The first is a five trillion initiative that went to sectoral banks, which are industrial, agricultural, real estate, and the Housing Fund, and a one trillion initiative that went to private banks.
