The Governor of Najaf Al-Ashraf, Majid Al-Waeli, announced on Tuesday the completion of the sectoral design for four informal areas, while confirming the continuation of procedures for issuing property titles in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers.
Al-Waeli said, to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), followed by “Al-Iqtisad News”: “The necessary requirements have been completed in the administrative units of the slum areas in the districts of Al-Qadisiyah, Al-Hira, Al-Haidariya, and Al-Abbasiyah, in accordance with Council of Ministers Resolution No. 320 of 2022 regarding ownership of residential homes in slum areas for their occupants.” .
Al-Waeli confirmed, "The sectoral designs have been completed by the Urban Planning Directorate for four informal areas, which include more than 9,000 residential homes, and approximately (45,000) thousand citizens will benefit from them."
He added, “Al-Qadisiyah sub-district includes (1,000) housing units, and approximately (5,000) citizens benefit from them, while Al-Hira sub-district includes (2,000) housing units, and approximately (10,000) citizens benefit from them, and Al-Abbasiya sub-district includes (5,000) housing units, and approximately (10,000) citizens benefit from them.” (25,000) citizens, while Al-Haydariyah district includes 1,000 housing units, and approximately (5,000) citizens benefit from them.”
He pointed out that "the directors of the administrative units were directed to complete the procedures of the resolution committee in conjunction with the directives of the concerned municipal departments, for the purpose of announcing the design for the approved legal period, and then completing the procedures for issuing title deeds."
