    Economy News - Baghdad
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Emirati President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan adopts a “very firm” position regarding the “Development Road” project.
Erdogan added, while answering journalists' questions after concluding a visit to the Azerbaijani region of Nakhichevan, that the "development path" is a project that includes Turkey, all Gulf states, and Iraq.
He pointed out that his Emirati counterpart, Mohammed bin Zayed, adopts a “very firm position” regarding the project, which includes the land and railway road extending from Iraq to Turkey and its ports.
The Turkish President explained that the President of the Emirates proposed during their last meeting to complete the preparations related to completing the project on paper within 60 days.
The Turkish President stated that the United States, Japan, India, and China have their own approaches to the "Development Road Project."
Erdogan referred to Turkey's role, which he described as "important" in the project, which "constitutes a link" from Iraq to Europe, passing through Turkey.
He stressed that the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure immediately began holding the necessary discussions with its concerned contacts, in a step aimed at starting the implementation of the project on the ground.
