The Supreme Committee for the Development of Education in Iraq in the Office of the Prime Minister extended the application period for various scholarship programs to mid-October. The executive director of the committee, Dr. Hamid Ahmed, told “Al-Sabah”: In order to advance the reality of education and for Iraq to regain its scientific position among the countries of the world, the Prime Minister’s initiative was announced, aiming to develop education in Iraq by sending (5,000) students to complete their studies in Reputable universities to provide government institutions with the skills required to accelerate the economic development process through a new qualitative scholarship policy consistent with the requirements of the government program. He pointed out that the committee prepared the criteria and conditions for the scholarship program carefully and accurately by a specialized scientific committee, as it announced the application period for the various scholarship programs from August 15 to September 15 last on the committee’s website (hced.ur.gov.iq).
