    Member of the Parliamentary Higher Education Committee, MP Muhammad Qutaiba Al-Bayati, confirmed today, Friday (October 6, 2023), that there are 4 positives to the global agreements concluded by the Ministry of Higher Education.
    Al-Bayati said in an interview with “Baghdad Today” that “the Ministry of Higher Education signing agreements with its counterparts from the ministries of other countries to develop scientific and research curricula carries 4 positives, the most prominent of which is raising the ranks of Iraqi universities and research centers in international classifications, not to mention creating paths to attract foreign students for primary and postgraduate studies.” In the country, in addition to developing curricula according to paths that contribute to improving the efficiency of the academic system.”
    He added, "Exchanging experiences and creating a scientific partnership is a strategic necessity approved in all countries of the world," pointing out that "the Ministry of Higher Education is specialized and not subject to political moods, meaning that the agreements are made according to the need to develop the academic system and not according to political influences and connotations."
    During the past months and weeks, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, signed several memorandums of understanding with several countries, including Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Romania. In this regard, the Minister of Education also confirmed that 3,000 students from outside Iraq will apply to study in Iraq during the academic year 2023-2024.
