    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq today:[/rtl]
[rtl] Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani announced: “Iraq will reach self-sufficiency in gasoline by the middle of next year, 2024.”[/rtl]
[rtl] Abdul Ghani said in a televised statement, “The Karbala refinery is one of the most advanced refineries in the region. It is environmentally friendly and designed according to European specifications.”[/rtl]
[rtl] He explained: “The refinery will produce large quantities of white products, led by gasoline, in addition to gas oil and kerosene,” noting: “When operating, the refinery will produce 8,000 cubic meters of high-octane gasoline per day, equivalent to two-thirds of the quantity that Iraq imports.” Now.

He added: “There are other projects in the southern refineries, and when they are operational, the import of gasoline will stop.”[/rtl]
[rtl] The Minister of Oil indicated that the cessation of exports through the Turkish port of Ceyhan came for technical reasons as a result of a leak within Turkish territory, indicating that: “After resuming exports through the Ceyhan pipeline at full capacity, the quantities that were lost as a result of its cessation will be compensated.”[/rtl]
