Shafaq News/ The New York Times reported on Thursday that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will urge Israel during his November 3 visit to Tel Aviv to agree to a series of pauses in military operations in the Gaza Strip.
“Blinken will insist on some “humanitarian pause” to the war when he arrives in Israel on Friday,” the newspaper said, citing American officials.
The White House indicated that they are calling for a temporary pause within a specific time and geographic framework.
The officials said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appears open to the idea of a humanitarian truce.
The war has entered its 27th day since the start of Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood,” as the Israeli army continues to bomb the Gaza Strip in light of international fears of the expansion of the conflict in the Middle East.
The death toll from the Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip since October 7 reached 9,061 dead and 32,000 Palestinians wounded.
On the Israeli side, more than 1,400 people were killed, including hundreds of soldiers, noting that Hamas captured more than 240 Israelis.
