    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq Today:

41 The Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee confirmed, today, Monday, that the government's decision to reduce oil production has major repercussions and problems that will affect the country.[/rtl]
[rtl] Committee member Ali Abdel Sattar said in a press statement, “The government’s decision to reduce oil production has major repercussions and problems, as it will affect the country’s revenues, especially since the budget approved export revenues with a fixed export reality.”[/rtl]
[rtl] Abdel Sattar added, “Until now we do not know whether the decision is unilateral or not, and frankly we do not know whether it will be an effective means of pressure at the international level in order to stop the war on Gaza.” He explained, “Things remain in the arena of the executive authority, and there will certainly be an in-depth and extensive study of such a decision.” Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani met with the Minister of Oil the day before yesterday, Saturday, to discuss the decision to reduce oil exports by 1 million barrels per day in order to influence the end of the war against Gaza.[/rtl]
