Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: A delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government is scheduled to make a visit to the capital, Baghdad, to negotiate with the federal government to finance the salaries of employees and workers in the public sector in the region for the last three months of the year 2023.
This was stated by the Region's Minister of Finance, Awat Sheikh Janab Nouri, on the sidelines of a visit he made, today, Wednesday, to “Koysanjak” University in Erbil Governorate.
Nouri told reporters that the regional government sent the audit budget to the federal government regarding financing salaries for the last three months of the current year.
He added that the regional government delegation is ready to go to Baghdad to resume negotiations on the issue of those salaries, adding that: What we feel and have received from Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani is that there is a willingness on the part of the federal government to resolve the differences with the Kurdistan Region.
