    Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Electricity reviewed its plan for smart transformation in the electrical network and the advantages it includes, while indicating that the plan will include, in its first phase, 50,000 subscribers in each region.
    The Ministry's media office stated in a statement received by Al-Iqtisad News, "Minister of Electricity Ziad Ali Fadel held a meeting with the Chairman and members of the Parliamentary Electricity and Energy Committee at the Ministry's headquarters."
    The Minister reviewed with the members of the committee, “the Ministry’s plan for smart transformation in the electrical network, and the advantages it includes, and it is in the interest of the citizen in terms of sustainability of supply hours and stability of electrical current.”
    Fadel presented “a video explanation of the areas included in the first phase of the transition to the electronic collection system, with 10 areas throughout the country, and in each area 50,000 subscribers,” noting that “the government sent reassuring messages to citizens that the project does not target small residential loads or Limited-income groups, but rather targeting loads with high consumption.”
    He stressed that "citizens have suffered over the past years from the problem of electricity, which has exhausted their living and living conditions," pointing out that "the government has developed solid plans in order to find radical solutions to electricity fluctuations and improve the quality of energy supplied to citizens, and among these plans is the installation of smart systems."
    He stated, “The Ministry was keen to inform the Parliamentary Electricity and Energy Committee of the details of the project before its launch, and to listen to the committee’s observations and evaluations of performance, in order to achieve integration in all aspects of the work.”
    For their part, the members of the committee expressed their “appreciation for the effort made by the Ministry to provide stable and reliable electricity,” praising “the step of smart transformation in the electrical network.”
