About two million smart meter subscribers were revealed.. Minister of Electricity of the Region: We will produce clean energy

Shafaq News/ The Ministry of Electricity in the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq announced on Monday that it is working to produce clean energy in the field of increasing electrical energy production.
The Minister of Electricity in the Kurdistan Regional Government, Kamal Muhammad, said in a press conference attended by Shafak News Agency; “During the previous formations of the regional government, which produced 6,700 megawatts of electricity, there were only two plants for the production of clean energy, but in the current formation of the regional government, contracts were signed to produce 2,400 megawatts of electricity for clean energy, which is 97% of electrical projects that produce clean energy, including Production of 350 megawatts of air in Sarsing.
Regarding electricity prices, the minister stated that "due to the current low temperatures, the demand for electrical energy has increased, and this has affected the supply of electricity to citizens' hours, except that some stations have stopped due to the lack of fuel and also gas for other stations."
As for the citizens’ problems with the smart meter, the Minister of Electricity explained; "In the region, there are one million and 750 thousand subscribers, and therefore problems are expected in the electricity sector."
