The Ministry of Electricity revealed that one million subscribers will be included in the second phase of the smart transformation of the electricity sector.
The ministry’s spokesman, Ahmed Al-Abadi, told Al-Eqtisad News that the second phase of the smart transformation of the electricity sector will include one million subscribers, noting that the installation of smart meters for the first phase will begin soon after signing contracts with the specialized companies.
He added that the smart transformation of the electricity sector will contribute to regulating demand and collection, as well as developing the distribution sector, stressing that transforming any region must first develop its network.
