    The head of the Arab Parliamentary Union, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, called on Sunday for an emergency session of the Arab parliaments to stop the continuation of the Zionist genocide against Gaza.
    Al-Mandalawi’s office stated in a statement received by “Al-Ma’louma” that “the Acting Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament met in the building of the Iranian Shura Council, Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Council, in the presence of members of the Iraqi parliamentary delegation and a number of members of the Iranian Shura Council.”
    The parliamentary delegation discussed with the Shura Council, headed by Qalibaf, “ways to develop bilateral relations between the two countries at all levels, especially parliamentary levels, and the importance of activating the role of the Iraqi-Iranian Friendship Committee, and activating memorandums of understanding, as well as strengthening cooperation in the field of energy exchange, investment, trade, medical fields, and land and railway transportation.” ".
    As Acting President of the Arab Parliamentary Union, Al-Mandalawi called for “holding an emergency session for the heads of Arab parliaments, especially after the continuation of the Zionist genocide against Gaza and the necessity of taking deterrent decisions that force the Zionist entity to stop its brutal violations and accelerate the entry of aid to the people of the Gaza Strip,” stressing “the importance of coordinating efforts.” And the parliamentary positions between the two countries in regional and international forums, in a way that enhances the stability of the region and the well-being of its people.” 
    For his part, the Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council, Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf, welcomed “the Iraqi parliamentary delegation headed by Al-Mandalawi,” praising “Iraq’s position and its pivotal role in building regional dialogues and bringing viewpoints closer between the countries of the region.”
    He called for "expanding the trade partnership and facilitating the transportation of goods and passengers between the two countries," while expressing his thanks "to the people and government of Iraq for hosting Iranian visitors." Ended / 25 hours
