    Information/Baghdad..
A member of the Parliamentary Agricultural, Water and Marshlands Committee, Rafiq Al-Salhi, on Wednesday called on the government to use pressure against Turkey, with the aim of releasing larger quantities of water to Iraq.
Al-Salhi said in a statement received by Al-Maalouma, “The cutting of water by Turkey portends a great danger, indicating that Turkey has cut off 40% of Iraq’s water share.”
He added, "The southern governorates are exposed to significant water scarcity as a result of Turkey's hostile policy, which has led to endangering agriculture in southern Iraq."
He pointed out, "The government is required to use pressure against Turkey to release Iraq's water quotas." Ended/25
