The Prime Minister's Advisor for Technical Affairs, Muhammad Sahib Al-Daraji, set the start date for the new Sadr City infrastructure project, while noting that 20 international companies have applied to establish the project.
Al-Daraji told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “There are invitations that will be sent to companies at the beginning of the new year, to refer the infrastructure project to the new Sadr City and begin the project work.”
He added that "there are 20 international companies that applied for the project," explaining that "the Baghdad Municipality is responsible for this issue."
Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani had previously confirmed that the announcement of the implementation of the infrastructure for the New Sadr City project must be made soon, after which work will begin on implementing the first phase of residential units.
