    Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani announced that the government is continuing efforts to amend the budget law.
    The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement received by (IQ NEWS), “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received, today, representatives of the teachers of the Kurdistan region of Iraq,” noting that “during the meeting, he listened to a comprehensive presentation on the conditions of educational bodies.” In the governorates of the region, the most important obstacles and problems facing their provision of educational services, the most important ways to improve it, and the social and living conditions of male and female teachers.
    Al-Sudani confirmed, "The government is continuing its efforts to amend the budget law, in order to separate the salaries file from any complications that mar the financial files between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq," noting "the continuation of work with the Parliamentary Finance Committee to achieve the sustainability of salaries for employees of the region."
    He stated that "the government is not against any movement to demand securing the salaries of teachers in the region and ensuring their continuity and stability, and that it places at the top of its endeavors the importance of preserving the rights of the Iraqi people, in all governorates of the country, equally."
