Mawazine News - Baghdad,
member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Sobhi Al-Mandalawi, confirmed, on Saturday, the reliance on Baghdad to respond to the Iranian aggression, indicating that Washington, according to the security agreements, is committed to defending all of Iraq against any aggression.
Al-Mandalawi said in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News: “The Iranian aggression against Kurdistan represents a blatant violation of Iraq, and we are committed to defending the homeland through the channels adopted by Baghdad.”
He added, "Iran's violation of international law after its recent aggression against Erbil will have repercussions in politics and the economy during the next stage."
He pointed out that "according to the strategic and security agreement between Baghdad and Washington, defending Iraq is America's duty."
