“Strong relations and common interests.” A parliamentarian explains the reason for Kurdistan’s solidarity with Washington

Information/private..
Today, Monday, Member of Parliament Kazem Al-Touki attributed the solidarity of the Kurdistan Regional Government with the United States of America against the attacks of the Islamic Resistance to the close relations between the two parties and common interests, while he stressed that Kurdistan has not reached a complete consensus with the central government yet.

Al-Touki said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “Kurdistan’s statements of public solidarity with the United States of America are not new,” noting that “the regional government is going against what the central government is going on many issues.”
He added, "Kurdistan continues to violate the foreign policy that Iraq uses with other countries, especially with Washington," pointing out that "the region is always looking for consensus with countries whose policies do not match Iraq's policy."
Al-Touki concluded his speech: “America is taking shelter in the Kurdistan regions, given the military bases in northern Iraq,” noting that “the regional government’s solidarity with the United States of America against the strikes of the Islamic resistance is due to the close relations between the two parties.”
All political and popular circles criticized Kurdistan's position in support of the United States of America after the successful attacks of the Islamic Resistance Axis against Washington's bases in the Al-Tanf triangle between Iraq, Syria and Jordan, the most recent of which was the bombing that resulted in the killing and wounding of more than 52 dead and wounded American forces. Ended 25/day
