Abdul Ghani said in a statement, “A meeting brought together the committee and included a review of oil production data and reports for member states for the months of November and December 2023, which witnessed a great commitment by the coalition countries to production adjustments and quotas.”
The statement quoted the Director General of the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company, Ammar Al-Anbuki, as saying: “The ministerial meeting to monitor production in the OPEC Plus alliance (52), which was held today, Thursday, February 1, 2024, decided to keep production levels without modification,” adding, “This The measure comes to achieve greater stability and balance between supply and demand in global markets.”
In addition, Oil Ministry spokesman Assem Jihad said, according to the statement, “The ministerial committee will continue to monitor developments in the oil market during the coming months, and the extent of compatibility and impact of adjustments to production levels on oil markets, in addition to evaluating market conditions, challenges and variables and their effects on supply and demand.” “.
Jihad added, “The members of the ministerial committee decided to hold the next meeting on the third of next April.”
It is noteworthy that the Ministerial Committee for Production Monitoring includes a number of member states in the coalition, including Iraq, as it monitors production for member states in addition to developments in global markets, challenges and influencing factors. This is with the aim of submitting recommendations to the “OPEC Plus” ministerial meeting in order to implement it, in order to achieve its goals of stabilizing global markets.
