The economic expert, Nabil Al-Marsoumi, revealed today, Saturday, the size of the salaries of employees and retirees in the 2024 budget.
According to Al-Marsoumi, who wrote on his personal Facebook page, the salaries of employees on the fixed staff amounted to 63.338 trillion dinars.
Al-Marsoumi added, "Civilian retirement salaries reached 7.868 trillion dinars, while military retirement salaries reached 6.566 trillion dinars."
The economist pointed out that “retirement bonuses for civilians and military personnel amounted to 1,751, while social protection salaries amounted to 6,217 trillion dinars.”
Al-Marsoumi concluded his speech by saying, “Total salaries amounted to 85.740 trillion dinars, while the size of salaries in relation to oil revenues was 71%.”
Last Thursday, during its meeting, the Finance Committee discussed the 2024 budget schedules and ways to provide financial allocations, fill the deficit, and enhance financial resources.
On the other hand, the head of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Atwan Al-Atwani, last week suggested voting on the budget schedules next June.
