Zayer added, "The law is about to be completed after the meetings of the blocs and committees concerned with the law," noting that the discussions "addressed most of its merits and paragraphs, in addition to listening to the opinions of legal specialists and other community opinions from civil society organizations and community figures."

She stated that “the law has become one of the committee’s priorities, as it represents broad societal demands, so the committee is working to mature it with the Legal Committee and the relevant committees to amend and discuss all paragraphs of the law and it will be included on the council’s agenda list soon,” according to the official Al-Sabah newspaper.

In addition to the Enforced Disappearance Law, Parliament is preparing during the remainder of the month before its legislative recess to vote on the Industrial Investment Law after the Investment Committee has completed all its discussions on it and read it for the first and second time, in addition to having completed the Mineral Investment Law and is in the process of including it for voting.

Al-Khafaji stated that the committee “worked on the mineral investment law and the Presidency was addressed to vote on it,” noting that “amendments were made to the residential investment law as well, which is an important law of course.”

He continued, "The committee discussed Resolution 245 and made amendments to 10 points in it, raising it to...National Investment AuthorityWhich in turn referred him toCouncil of StateTo approve it and return it to the government,” pointing out that the committee “discussed 10 paragraphs in the investment law that the government studied with experts, stakeholders, investment bodies, and the National Authority, in addition to specialized academics,” according to the newspaper.
