    Economy News - Baghdad
The temporary charge d'affaires of the Iraqi embassy in Warsaw, Miqdad Ayoub Al-Mandalawi, confirmed that Iraq has become a destination for Arab and foreign tourists.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement received by Al-Eqtisad News that "the temporary charge d'affaires of the Iraqi embassy in Warsaw, Miqdad Ayoub Al-Mandalawi, participated in the work of the National Conference for Tolerance and Peace in response to the invitation extended by the Polish-Arab Social and Economic Club."
She added, "The conference aims to promote Iraq as a tourist destination, and to introduce its tourist sites, especially religious ones, such as the city of Ur in Dhi Qar Governorate and a number of ancient churches in other Iraqi governorates."
Al-Mandalawi stressed, "Iraq has become a tourist destination for many tourists in light of the security stability it is currently witnessing, due to the antiquities, places of worship, and natural places it possesses."
He added that "peaceful coexistence among its components constitutes a factor of strength for Iraq," noting that "the state, with all its executive and legislative institutions, pays great attention to preserving the Iraqi social fabric by enacting laws that guarantee religious and cultural freedoms for all religious components and minorities and ensuring political representation for them."
Al-Mandalawi pointed to "the efforts of the Iraqi government to hold the third conference for interfaith dialogue, which was held in Baghdad in 2022 to discuss the challenges facing the ethnic components in Iraq."
