Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Planning Committee, MP Muhammad Karim, confirmed today, Saturday, that the announcement of the ministerial reshuffle will take place after the formation of local governments is completed.
Karim said in a press statement, “The ministerial committee charged with evaluating the work of ministers completed its work before the provincial council elections, but the Prime Minister decided to postpone it until after the local elections.”
He added, “The ministerial reshuffles are in place and will be announced shortly after the provincial councils finish forming their local governments,” noting that “the evaluation of the ministerial committee included the performance of ministers, their deputies, and general directors.”
Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani had adopted the principle of comprehensive evaluation of the performance of ministers and their deputies. The general directors are part of efforts to make changes consistent with the government program voted on by the House of Representatives.
