The Islamic Dawa Party, today, Thursday, denounced the assassination of the martyr Abu Baqir Al-Saadi, while calling for a national and governmental stance to stop these attacks.
The party's political office said in a statement received by Mawazine News, "We condemn the assassination of the martyr brother Hajj (Wissam Muhammad Saber - Abu Baqir al-Saadi) in the heart of the capital, Baghdad, despite the fact that the Hezbollah Brigades announced in an official statement a good faith initiative, stopping all... Its operations, to give the government an opportunity to play its role in calming the situation and preventing escalation, and paving the way for diplomatic and political efforts to remove foreign forces from Iraq with minimal losses, but this initiative was met with killing.”
He added that "silencing this crime and passing it without a firm national, political and governmental stance will make it repeated," pointing out that "turning Iraq into an arena of liquidations and sustainable conflict will be at the expense of its security, stability and sovereignty, which are being violated on a daily basis."
He continued, "The international community must bear its responsibilities regarding these brutal and repeated attacks that will inevitably drag the region into an endless war."
