    Baghdad today - Basra
    Today, Saturday (March 9, 2024), Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani opened an iron and steel factory in Basra Governorate.
    Al-Sudani's office said in a statement received by "Baghdad Today", "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani opened in Basra the rolling mill, one of the factories of the General Iron and Steel Company, with a production capacity of (500) thousand tons annually of different types of iron."
    He pointed out that "the factory has been idle since 2003."
    Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani arrived today, Saturday, in Basra Governorate to inaugurate and follow up on a number of projects.
    Al-Sudani’s media office stated in a statement received by “Baghdad Today” that “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani arrived in Basra Governorate to open and follow up on a number of strategic and service projects in the governorate.”
