The Federal Court will consider, tomorrow, Sunday, a lawsuit requesting that the Kurdistan Region be obligated to implement the federal government’s decision to close camps for the displaced until (June 30, 2024).
Earlier this month, the Federal Court received a complaint submitted by the Minister of Immigration and Displacement, Evan Faiq, against the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, and the Region’s Interior Minister, Reber Ahmed, demanding the resolution and implementation of Iraqi Council of Ministers Resolution 24007 of 2024 and that he be subject to He was sued to implement the decision.
