    The Secretary-General of the National Affiliation Party, Hikmat Suleiman, confirmed today, Thursday (April 4, 2024), that there are three positives to weakening the iron control of the sacked Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi .
    Suleiman said in an interview with “Baghdad Today” that “one of the most important challenges facing the Sunni component and its political file is the diversion of any efforts made towards one person,” stressing that “whoever determines the compass of action according to what suits him puts him with the slogans of the protector of the component and deals in its name according to the interests of "It has become known." In reference to Al-Halbousi
    Suleiman added, "The challenges in the Sunni component cannot be ignored regarding its participation in important decisions, including security, and the need for it to have an effective role and cooperation with the central authority," adding, "But in return, weakening the iron control of Al-Halbousi, which Baghdad granted him, contributed to greater space and flexibility for political action."     Al-Mulla mentioned in his tweet, followed by “Baghdad Today”, with reference to “Al-Halbousi”: “He sold the positions in Anbar, traded its lands, then presented Diyala on a golden platter, giving up its identity. The Kurdish Union handed over the keys to Kirkuk Governorate, and was unable to maintain the site.” The first was for the Sunnis because of his falsification and hostility toward his constituents. Then he threatened to withdraw from the government and chair the committees in Parliament, and not a single member of his group adhered to the decision to withdraw, and the work came out only for media consumption!!!”
    He added, "Now he is pleading with the framework forces in secret and threatening to withdraw and boycott in public due to his inability to produce a new Speaker of Parliament from his party!!! We hope that he will take such a position so that the political forces will discover that there are no two representatives who will follow him!! Game is over ."
